don't know until you kind of settle in and for Avril and Christopher,
when they moved to their village years ago, they found out that it was
considered the darkest town in the UK.
See, there's no streetlights and during the months when the sun sets
way too early, it was hard on them.
So they decided to buy a Christmas tree they were going to plant in
their front yard.
They spent six bucks at the local hardware store.
And at the time it was shorter than them, but it took root and it kept
growing and every year they would put lights on it and they'd have to
put more and more as the tree got bigger and bigger.
The tree has gotten so big that every single year they have to get a
cherry picker to put over 3000 lights on the tree and the entire
community comes by to see the tree light up for the first time.
And for Avril and Christopher, it's a yearly reminder that the light
shines brightest in the darkness.
